Commissioned Job: Caricatures for wedding consultancy firm - Ode To Joy

I'm tasked to draw 3 caricatures of the beautiful owners of "Ode To Joy". One of them is my friend, Joan. She requested the artworks  for her partners and herself to be placed in their website. She described the personalities of each of them so I could draw to them fittingly.

Fb Caricaturama Showdown 3000 challenge: Vincent van Gogh sketch

Did this sketch for facebook's Caricaturama challenge. 1st saw the skull with cigarettes on the cover of David Sedaris book. It captured my attention and it actually suits the book well. Didn't know it was by great impressionist painter,Vincent van Gogh until I googled him. Definitely one of his darker, sinister piece but my favourite.

A group caricature gift for Lelyn's wedding helpers (1 Oct 2011)

 

 A group caricature as a gift to Lelyn's wedding helpers. All 19 of them. It took me quite some time as Lelyn provide a long lead time. Engaged me 3 months before actual day. I delivered in 2.5 months time. We had a lot of interaction discussing the best layout, the colours, specific gowns and suits and hairstyles. The latter is the most problematic as her friends changed their hairs many times over the 2.5 months. Hence the artwork is very updated on the actual day when Lelyn decided to give to her helpers.
